How to Get Back into DevOps After a 5-Year Career Break?

I'm a DevOps engineer from the UK with about 7 years of experience. However, I've been away for the past 5 years living abroad and focusing on a different passion. I'm looking for advice on re-entering the job market, especially in light of my AWS experience and minimal knowledge of Kubernetes. Are there specific courses or certifications I should pursue? Are there any recommended platforms for hands-on labs, as I prefer environments that don't require heavy local installations? Thanks for your help!

You should consider brushing up on AWS and learning the basics of Kubernetes. Getting a certification like CKA or CKAD, or even an AWS cert, can help prove you're keeping your skills up-to-date. Try A Cloud Guru (formerly Linux Academy) or Edureka for hands-on labs. Employers want to see that you're still sharp and current in the field.

Thanks for the advice! Unfortunately, I lost my LinkedIn profile and have to start from scratch on networking. I used to earn around 70k before my hiatus; given my gap and the current market, should I aim for something like 40k or even less?
