Why is my PC randomly rebooting after I got a new OLED monitor?

I've been having an issue where my PC randomly reboots without any warning, and it started about three weeks ago after I got a new OLED monitor. Here are my specs: R5 7600x, B650m pro rs wifi, RX 7800XT, 2x16GB 6000MTs G.Skill Ripjaws, and a Gigabyte GP-UD850GM PG5 850W PSU. At first, I thought it might be my powerbar not handling the wattage, so I switched it out and plugged it into a different socket, but the issue persists. The powerbar supports up to 2500 watts and has no other devices connected to it. The only issue is that my PC's power cable is too short to plug directly into the wall without moving it, but I'm wondering if I should try moving my PC somewhere isolated to see if the rebooting continues. Any suggestions or insights?

It might be a coincidence that the reboots started after getting your OLED monitor, but it's definitely worth checking out. Your PSU should be more than enough for your setup, and the powerbar seems fine too. Short cable issues can sometimes cause problems, especially if the cable is low quality, but it's not likely to cause random reboots. I’d suggest plugging your PC directly into a good-quality wall socket if you can get a longer cable. Moving the PC away from other devices for testing is a good idea, just ensure it's grounded and not connected to any weird power strips.

Also, make sure to monitor your temps using something like HWMonitor, and don’t forget to check the Windows Event Viewer for any error logs around the reboot times. Updating the BIOS and GPU drivers is smart too, and running MemTest86 can rule out RAM issues. If possible, borrow a PSU to see if that resolves the issue.

Sounds like you've done a lot of troubleshooting already. Have you bumped the PC or changed anything when you set up the new monitor? Sometimes stuff can get dislodged. As for the CPU fan, while it seems odd, it’s worth checking to make sure everything is seated correctly, especially if you've moved things around.

Random reboots can be super frustrating! Based on what you've shared, your temps seem fine, which is a relief. Make sure to check the Windows Event Viewer around the time of reboots; sometimes it logs helpful info. If the BIOS and drivers are updated, that rules out a lot of common issues. Also, if you really don't have a second PSU, try asking around; it's a common part that tech friends might have lying around.

And about your CPU fan getting jarred by the monitor setup—that's not out of the realm of possibility! Check that your CPU cooler is well-attached and hasn't come loose.

I checked everything, and all connections seem tight. I appreciate the tips on monitoring for logs and running checks. I'll definitely keep an eye out for anything that could be causing it.
