Is it safe to run my PC without thermal paste?

I've been noticing that my CPU temperatures are pretty high, fluctuating between 80 to 90 degrees Celsius. I haven't changed the thermal paste in years, so I'm starting to wonder if it's dried up and causing the overheating. Can anyone tell me if running my CPU without any thermal paste would actually help cool it down before I can replace it?

No way, you definitely can't run your PC without thermal paste. It's crucial for proper heat conduction from your CPU to the heatsink. If you try running it without any, you risk burning out your CPU and potentially damaging your motherboard. If it's only a matter of replacing it, just grab some new thermal paste; it's super cheap, less than $10 on Amazon!

Hey, don't remove the old thermal paste until you have the new stuff ready to apply! In the meantime, if you're comfortable, you could try cleaning out the heatsink and fans, since dust buildup can also cause overheating. Just make sure you repaste as soon as possible!

Seriously, just cleaning out the dust can do wonders for your PC's cooling! But remember, if you're running without thermal paste, you're just asking for drama with overheating. Make sure you get it sorted soon!
