I'm trying to overclock my RAM from 2133MHz to 3200MHz, but I've hit a snag. I've followed the A-XMP steps and tried different speeds like 2933MHz and 2666MHz using voltages of 1.35V and 1.05V, but nothing seems to stick. My RAM slots are correctly configured, yet the timings remain at 15-15-15-36. Whenever I attempt to save these changes in BIOS, I experience some strange shutdowns with light thuds before my PC restarts automatically. I'm running a Ryzen 3 3200G with an MSI B450M Mortar Max motherboard and Corsair Vengeance DDR4 2x8GB RAM. There's no dedicated GPU involved. In task manager and BIOS, it always shows 2133MHz while OC settings display 3200MHz and other voltages. I've discovered that one of my RAM sticks is single rank and the other is dual rank. When I test them separately, the single rank works fine at 3200MHz, but the dual rank one fails, showing a recovery screen about a missing EFI file. I also reversed the RAM sticks, putting the single rank in A2 and dual rank in B2, but that didn't seem to help much. After entering BIOS, I opted for the 'Full Setup' for the RAM, enabled A-XMP, and finally managed to get 3200MHz running. However, my official recommendation still seems to be 2933MHz. Is it safe for me to keep running my RAM at 3200MHz?

It sounds like your XMP settings might not be stable with the current setup. You could give XMP another shot, but if it's still failing, try bumping up the VCore SoC just a little. That should help stabilize the memory controller. Keep an eye on temperatures too, just to be safe.
Definitely monitor your system when running at 3200MHz. If it's stable and you’re not experiencing any crashes or weird behavior, it should be fine to use. However, if you notice any instability, it might be better to stick with the official recommendation of 2933MHz.
