Hey everyone! I'm a total tech noob and am finally ready to build my own gaming PC. After doing some research, I want to know if the components I've picked will handle 1440p gaming, mainly for story-driven games. Here's what I've got:

- Corsair CC-9011252-WW 3000D AIRFLOW Clear Tempered Glass White Steel ATX Mid Tower
- AMD Ryzen 9600x 5.40 GHz 6-Core Zen 5 Socket AM5
- ID Cooling FROZN A620 PRO SE 120mm Dual Tower Black PWM
- Asus TUF Gaming X870-PLUS WIFI AMD X870 Ryzen AM5 ATX
- Teamgroup Expert 32GB DDR5-6000MHz CL30 1.35V XMP
- Gigabyte Radeon RX 9060 XT 16GB GAMING OC 16GD GDDR6 128-Bit PCle 5.0
- Mushkin D8 Tempest 1TB PCle 3.0 x4 NVMe M.2 2280 SSD

Are these parts compatible, and have I made the right choices for the gaming experience I want? Any advice is greatly appreciated!

The performance at 1440p heavily relies on your GPU. Also, consider if you want features like DLSS or ray tracing, as they can influence your GPU choice. If you're okay with raw frame rates, then the RX 9060 XT should serve you well. Just double-check with PCPartPicker for compatibility!

Thanks for the insights! I’ve watched some vids about ray tracing and frame generation, but I’m not too concerned with them. I also checked the compatibility on PCPartPicker and everything looks good!

For 1440p, your GPU really does all the heavy lifting. If you scale down the CPU to something like a Ryzen 7600, you could save some cash and invest that into a more powerful GPU, which can improve your gaming experience significantly!

You might want to wait for more experts to jump in if you're unsure.

Exactly, if you save around $50 on the CPU, you could use that for a GPU upgrade that costs about $300 more!

Just to point out, did you plan on pairing a white case with a black cooler? It's not a big deal, but it's an interesting choice!

I didn't really focus on aesthetics, just want the PC to function well.

Honestly, you don't really need the X870 with this build. Switching to a B650 or B850 motherboard can save you some bucks and still work fine for your needs.
