I'm struggling to get Valorant to run on my old Lenovo laptop with an i5-5200 CPU and an R9 M375 GPU. After the recent UE5 update, the game crashes with a D3D11 error, asking me to update my driver to version 23.3.2 or switch the API. I've also been experiencing crashes after a few games that force me to restart the laptop completely. I attempted to update my graphics driver through the AMD website, but I only found version 22.6.1 listed. When I tried downloading version 23.3.2 from an alternative site, the Adrenaline software wouldn't start, and my laptop began to freeze and show BSODs, prompting me to reinstall Windows 10. Currently, I can't play at all. Any suggestions on how to fix this? Additionally, I'm puzzled about the minimum requirements showing an R7 240, which uses the same driver as mine. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

I understand where you're coming from. Sometimes, when a laptop gets too old, it just can't keep up with the software updates. The specs you have likely can’t handle the newer versions of games anymore. It might be time for an upgrade eventually.
Honestly, if you're really into gaming, you might want to consider building a new PC. Your current setup seems a bit outdated for modern games like Valorant. This subreddit isn't specifically for laptops, so you might not get the best advice here.
I get that, but it's just tough to give up on this laptop yet! Just feels frustrating.
Have you checked for overheating issues? It might be worth cleaning your laptop's fans and applying new thermal paste. That could help with stability during gaming sessions.
I guess I see your point. Just shocked that the minimum specs list an R7 240 which seems pretty similar!
