First PC Build: Issues Booting from USB for Windows Installation

Hey everyone! I just built my first PC, but I'm running into some trouble trying to boot from my USB to install Windows 11. I used the media creation tool from Microsoft's official site, so I think that part is fine. Initially, the USB booted correctly and I saw the Windows installation screen, but it didn't find a destination for installation. After that, I took everything apart to double-check all the connections, and when I tried to boot again, I didn't reach the Windows boot menu. Instead, I just get a black screen with a 'M-Flash' window showing the files from the USB drive. I've tried reformatting the USB and recreating it, but I'm still getting the same results. Any advice?

It sounds like you may have accidentally opened the BIOS update tool instead of booting from the USB. Make sure your USB drive is set as the first option in the boot order within the BIOS. If there's a key to select the boot device manually, try using that as well—I can't say for sure which key it is for your motherboard, but it usually shows on screen when booting up. Good luck!

Just to add on, if your USB is already first in the boot order, double-check that it's actually recognized correctly in BIOS. Sometimes, there are issues with USB compatibility. Also, since your motherboard is a B650 gaming plus, you might want to look for an option regarding USB legacy support in BIOS. Enabling that might help!
