Hey folks! I recently upgraded to a new PC case and I've been running into a bunch of strange problems since the switch. Here's the situation:
Before getting the new case, I double-checked that everything was compatible and running well. After moving my components into the new case, the power button didn't work at all. I have an H81M-CT motherboard, and I hooked up the power switch cable to pins 5 and 7 on the F_PANEL as the manual suggested, but that didn't do the trick.
As a workaround, I tried jump-starting my system by using a screwdriver on those same pins, and it booted up fine. However, then it started this odd behavior of restarting automatically whenever I shut it down, and even waking up by itself from sleep mode.
Upon further investigation, I found that the power button cables inside the case had come loose. I fixed that, and now the power button works, but the random restarting issue is still ongoing.
Could someone help me figure out what might be causing this? Is it a wiring issue, or could there be a short somewhere? Just to note, all the components were working well in my old setup, so I suspect the problem might be related to this new case. Also, I doubt it's a BIOS issue since everything was fine before this move.

Make sure all the PSU cables are properly connected to the motherboard. Also, can you access the BIOS? That could give us some clues.
Did you use the right standoffs? It sounds like the motherboard could be shorting out by touching the metal case at some point.
Thanks for the suggestion! Can you explain what you mean by 'proper standoffs'? I want to make sure I'm doing it right.
Yes, I've checked, and all the PSU cables are seated correctly. I can enter the BIOS too, and I’ve made some changes based on YouTube fixes, but nothing has helped.
