I'm a console gamer looking to make the switch to PC and I've been overwhelmed by all the mixed information out there about building a budget setup for basic 1080p gaming at 60 or even 120 fps. I usually play games like Marvel Rivals, NBA 2K, and GTA, but I occasionally dive into more demanding titles like Cyberpunk or Dark Souls. My budget is around $1000, but I'd prefer to spend less if possible since I'm not chasing ultra settings. Ideally, I want a system that can consistently run at 60 fps similar to my current Xbox Series X setup, even with upscaling. Any recommendations would be great!

Check out this build on PCPartPicker: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/VHWQb2. Just a heads up, the NV2 SSD uses QLC flash, which has lower durability and can slow down after a couple of years. You might want to opt for a drive with TLC flash like the Kioxia Exceria Plus G3 or the WD Blue SN580 for better longevity and performance.
Do you have a Micro Center nearby? If you do, I recommend checking out their bundles, as they can offer great deals. For the GPU, I'd suggest going with something like the 5060 Ti if you want nice DLSS and ray tracing options. Otherwise, the 9060 XT is a solid choice for 1080p gaming!
Thanks for the tip! I didn't know that about the NV2. I'll look into those TLC options instead!
