I recently encountered a frustrating issue with my iPad. Yesterday, after taking it off the charger and getting ready for school, I found that the screen wouldn't turn on at all. It took about 7 hours for it to finally power up once I got home from practice, but then it wouldn't turn on again for a while. After waiting about 30 minutes, it powered back up, and I managed to play some Roblox for about 30 seconds before the screen turned off again, although the sound continued. This problem has been ongoing for a day and a half, and I'm unsure what might be causing it. I've tried rebooting it a couple of times since it does have a home button.

What model of iPad are you using? Is it less than a year old, and does it have AppleCare+? Also, do you have your data backed up on iCloud or a computer? Knowing these details can help in troubleshooting the issue better.
First, if your iPad has a case, try removing it. Sometimes, the magnets can interfere with the screen locking feature. However, if that doesn't work, it might be a hardware issue, and you should consider taking it to Apple or a certified service center for a check-up.
It's the 9th generation, but I don’t think I have it backed up. What should I do next?
