Hey everyone! I'm about to pull the trigger on a new PC build mainly for gaming and some creative tasks like video editing and 3D rendering. I've picked out the parts listed below, but I want to make sure everything is solid before I order anything. The availability of PC parts, especially GPUs, is pretty scarce here, so I need to be sure I'm making good choices. I'd appreciate any tips or suggestions you guys might have! Here's a bit more context:
- **New build or upgrade?**: New build. Everything from scratch.
- **Reusing existing parts/monitors?**: No, just using my Corsair XENEON 32UHD144-A monitor.
- **Purpose of the PC**: Primarily for gaming at 4K and 1440p at ultra settings, plus creative work like video editing, 3D rendering, and motion graphics.
- **Budget**: Not strict, but I am looking for good value in performance.
- **Connection type**: Built-in WiFi 6E but will mostly use a wired connection.
- **Size and noise preferences**: Mid tower with good airflow; noise isn't a big issue but I'd prefer a balanced level.
- **Aesthetics**: I'm into subtle RGB but nothing too flashy.
### Build list:
- **CPU**: AMD Ryzen 9 9900X (12-core 24-thread up to 5.6 GHz)
- **Motherboard**: ASUS TUF GAMING B850 WIFI W AM5 DDR5 PCIe 5.0 WiFi 6E Bluetooth
- **RAM**: Adata XPG LANCER DDR5 5600MHz 16GB × 4 (64GB total)
- **GPU**: ASUS ROG Strix GeForce RTX 4080 SUPER 16GB GDDR6X
- **Cooler**: ASUS PRIME LC360 ARGB
- **Primary SSD**: Samsung 980 PRO 1TB NVMe PCIe 4.0
- **Secondary SSD**: Additional 1TB NVMe or SATA SSD
- **HDD**: 1TB 7200 RPM for backups
- **Monitor**: Corsair XENEON 32UHD144-A 32" 4K 144Hz IPS
- **Case**: Cougar FV270 RGB Mid Tower
- **PSU**: 1000W 80+ Gold Fully Modular
- **UPS**: 2000VA heavy-duty backup
- **OS**: Windows 11 Pro 64-bit preinstalled
Let me know if there's anything I might have missed or if you have any better parts to suggest! I'm keen to make sure this system is solid and future-proof. Thanks a ton!

I’d recommend swapping out the 16x4 RAM setup for a 32x2 configuration. The 16x4 can lead to stability issues. Also, consider getting a larger secondary drive instead of the 1TB HDD, since with your work in 3D rendering, that might not be sufficient. Keep an eye on how much you load onto your SSDs; the speed there is crucial for creative tasks.
Just to add, I totally get that finding certain parts can be tough. If you're using the HDD for render cache, that makes sense. But if you find a good SSD deal, it'll really speed things up during your rendering processes!
