We're facing a couple of recurring issues: laptops often go into sleep mode unexpectedly, and we see persistent overheating which drains battery life. Additionally, team members sometimes have to restart their laptops to get external monitors to work after reconnecting them to docking stations. Make sure you're deploying the correct Power Profiles via Group Policy. There was a similar issue about Lenovo laptops with certain Windows 11 updates. Addressing those Power Profiles can sometimes help with sleep mode problems.
If you're seriously considering wiping the Dells, I think that’s a good move. A fresh install can resolve many lingering issues. If you decide against wiping, at the very least, I’d recommend removing any Dell optimization software that might be interfering.
Before you invest time in looking for base images, it might be worthwhile to troubleshoot the issues directly. Can you replicate the sleep mode problem and monitor issue? Make sure to check if you've updated the firmware on the Lenovo docking stations. Are they using Thunderbolt 4? That could also be a factor.
You might struggle to find shared images since they often contain sensitive company data. Ideally, you should create your own 'golden image' tailored for your environment. Using tools like SCCM can help with the deployment, especially since drivers differ between Dell and Lenovo. If you’re more into cloud setups, consider using Autopilot for deployment while maintaining a generic image.

I haven’t relied on vendor-specific images for a while; MDT can handle it all. Just ensure your Lenovo images don’t have any leftover Dell components, and definitely check on firmware updates for the docks and the laptops before troubleshooting. Sometimes reverting to earlier graphics drivers can fix display issues too.
