Looking for a Way to Automate Keyboard Presses at Work

I work in a company where I need to clock 8 hours of activity time on my laptop, but often I don't have enough work to fill that time. My incentives get docked if I don't reach 8 hours, and they track activity by detecting keystrokes every 20 seconds. The catch is, I can't install any software on my work laptop. Does anyone have any creative solutions to help me automate keyboard presses? Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

You could try placing a small heavy object on a key, like a paperweight, but honestly, it's not a great solution. Some people suggest getting a cat since they love walking on keyboards! But seriously, this 20-second rule is pretty ridiculous. What if you’re on a call? It feels more like a trap than a work policy!

I hear you! That method doesn't really work if you're looking for consistent activity. We really shouldn't have to spam keys every few seconds.

Right? Plus, it doesn't account for times when you're in meetings. It's a frustrating setup.

Honestly, you might find some manual clickers on Amazon, but I've never used them, so I can't vouch for how effective they are. Just search for 'manual keyboard clicker' and see what comes up!

Definitely a risky move, especially after hearing stories of people getting sacked for using weird tools. Better check the rules first!
