Has Anyone Successfully Waived AWS Egress Fees for Migration to GCP?

I'm currently assisting a customer in moving an app and around 50TB of data from AWS to GCP. I came across an AWS blog post stating that you can request to have the egress data transfer fees waived if you contact support. However, the customer has already spoken with their account representative, who seemed pretty clueless, and their support case hasn't clarified anything. Has anyone successfully gone through this process? Any advice on how to get support to actually acknowledge the request?

Make sure to check out the FAQs on the AWS site; the details can be tricky! Your situation might not fit what qualifies for the free egress. It's definitely worth reading through those FAQs before proceeding further.

Did you share the blog link with their support team? Sometimes they can miss important info if it's not highlighted. Also, ensure you're on a paid support plan; it can make a difference in responsiveness!

The support plan is pretty basic, but I'm keeping my fingers crossed!

Just share the blog post with them. It should be straightforward, right? It explains everything they need to know.

Yes, you can indeed have the fees waived! Starting a support case is the right move. Just ensure to link the blog in all your correspondence, as it might help clear up any misunderstandings.
