My RX6800XT is Hitting Crazy Temperatures! What Should I Do?

I recently bought a used Nitro+ RX6800XT, and when I play graphically intense games like the new Witcher 3, it shoots up to over 110°C on the hotspot almost immediately. When I tested it at the seller's place, everything seemed normal temperature-wise. I'm worried about using it at such high levels. I suspect it might need a re-paste, but I'm not sure how to do that. It could also be an airflow issue since my case is pretty small, and I'm a bit new to PC building. I currently have three intake fans at the front and one exhaust fan at the top left of the GPU. I even organized the cables better. I'm trying to figure out if the problem lies more with the card itself or the airflow. If it is the airflow, what kind of case upgrades do you recommend? I have a budget of around €100.

It sounds like a mix of both bad thermal paste and airflow issues. Make sure your case fans are revving up while you're gaming to push more fresh air to the GPU. Repasting the thermal paste could definitely help too—check if you can find someone to assist you with it if you don’t want to risk it yourself.

I have three intake fans running at max speed and one exhaust fan that runs even faster. Do you think it’s worth it to upgrade the intake fans to match the exhaust, or should I invest in a larger case for better airflow instead?
