I'm looking to build a new PC and want to spend around $1200. I don't have a Micro Center nearby (the closest one is about an 8-hour drive), so I'll be ordering everything online brand new. My last PC was built in 2019, and it was based on an AM4 platform, but I want to upgrade to AM5 this time. The aim is to create something that's future-proof and can handle modern games at 1080p for now. I'm considering the 9060GT for the GPU, but I'm open to suggestions. Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!

For your budget, it’s totally possible to squeeze in a 9070 instead of the 9060GT! It'll give you even better performance, especially for future games. I put together a build on PCPartPicker that you might want to check out: https://pcpartpicker.com/list/fgMLTM
Thanks a lot! I can stretch my budget a little if it means getting better parts. By the way, is a 1TB SSD enough these days, or would a 2TB be a better choice?
