Recommendations for Tech Suppliers If eBuyer Shuts Down?

Hey everyone! I usually get my tech gear from eBuyer, especially for bigger purchases like laptops and monitors, while smaller items come from Amazon. I read that eBuyer might be shutting down, so I'm on the lookout for solid alternatives. I'm specifically searching for suppliers that have a wide range of products, competitive prices, and allow trade accounts. I've considered Currys Business, but I'm not sure they have enough variety. I've also got a trade account with Misco, but their prices seem a bit high. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

CCL Online has been solid for me in the past. They've got good service. It's weird they haven't been mentioned here!

CCL went bust a while back, but they seem to have resurfaced. I had a nightmare with them recently—ordered something that 'arrived tomorrow,' and here I am, still waiting for it! Not impressed.

Same here! Took them ages to deliver anything, it felt like forever.

I've seen a lot of chatter about eBuyer potentially going under this week. It's really a bummer! Right now, it looks like Scan and Overclockers are the main contenders. The PC component market is super competitive—prices are basically everything, and margins are razor-thin.

It's true! But honestly, dealing with Overclockers has been a nightmare for me. They often mess up transactions and hold orders longer than they should.

I hear you! I used to work there, and the management isn’t exactly the best. Makes the whole process tough for the workers.

I usually go with Scan for my non-Amazon purchases. They ship with DPD, which is a plus for me! Their turnaround time is pretty quick compared to others. If you need PC parts, I'd definitely recommend them over Overclockers, which have been a bit unreliable lately. Scan’s been my go-to for years!

I've had good experiences with Scan too, but just a heads-up—I've received damaged items in the past, and their customer service took some effort to get a resolution. Just make sure to double-check the packaging!

Yeah, I used to like Overclockers, but they’ve really gone downhill on shipping times lately. Scan has convinced me to switch.

We mainly use Softcat for our procurement needs. They’ve been good for licensing, and our Account Manager is great. Sometimes they do have a markup compared to direct purchases, though, so just keep that in mind!

Totally relate! If you have good communication with the Account Manager, it can really make a difference. They also help with sourcing items not in their catalog.

I've noticed a bit of a price hike compared to buying directly too, but they make the process hassle-free for us.

I used to be a big eBuyer fan, but prices just aren’t competitive anymore. For things like PCs and monitors, I now shop from TD Synnex or sometimes directly from Dell. It's a shame to hear they might shut down, though.

Yeah, Amazon often beats prices for smaller items, but my experience with them for computers has been mixed, too. Had a lost CPU, which wasn’t fun!

Same here! I’ve been steered towards Provantage for better pricing, especially for bulk orders.
