Why Is My FPS So Low in Assetto Corsa with My Setup?

I'm running an RTX 4080 with an AMD 5950X CPU and 64GB of Crucial RAM at 3000MHz. My setup includes two 24" 1080p 144Hz monitors and one 27" 1080p monitor for gaming. When I'm not driving in Assetto Corsa, I'm getting about 120 to 140 FPS, but as soon as I start driving, it drops to around 100 FPS. If I have OBS open, even without streaming, my FPS crashes down to 60 or 70 FPS. Both my GPU and CPU usage are only at around 20% to 30%, and I'm only using 30GB of my RAM. I expected to hit 200+ FPS easily. Does anyone have insights on why my FPS is so low? Would upgrading to DDR5 and an AMD 9800X3D help? I'm starting to think it's a CPU bottleneck, any advice would be appreciated!

It sounds like your setup might be CPU limited. The 5950X is great for multitasking but not the best for gaming compared to more gaming-optimized CPUs like the X3D. You could try overclocking your CPU to see if it improves your FPS. That might help identify if the issue really is with the CPU.

Thank you, I’ll give that a try!
