What’s the best first upgrade for my PC?

I'm looking to upgrade my PC, which I've had for about three years. I definitely need to replace the PSU due to some issues I'm having. However, I also have some budget left over, so I'm wondering where else I should focus my upgrade efforts. I'm not super versed in PC hardware, so any advice would be greatly appreciated! Here's what I'm working with:

- AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Six Core 4.6GHz
- Gigabyte GeForce RTX 3060 Ti Gaming OC V2 8GB GDDR6 Graphics Card
- CORSAIR VENGEANCE LPX DDR4 RAM 32GB (2x16GB) 3600MHz
- WD Blue SN570 500GB SSD NVME M.2 2280 PCIe Gen3
- WD Blue 1TB 3D NAND SSD 2.5" SATA 6Gbps

What’s your budget looking like for the upgrade? That’ll really help narrow down your options.

Honestly, I’d probably say around $400 - $500 is my max.

I think the GPU will give you the most noticeable boost in performance. If you plan on gaming, especially at higher resolutions, having 8GB of VRAM will be crucial! I have a Ryzen 3600X and I can say the AM4 platform will be good for a while longer, so upgrading the GPU is the way to go in most cases.

Yeah, it looks like the GPU is the way to go, thanks for the tips!

I’d recommend upgrading your GPU first. Something like a used 6800 XT or a 4070 Super could be a massive improvement for your gaming experience. A 7900 XT could also work if it fits your budget. Just see what you’re comfortable spending!
