Is 10GB VRAM Enough for Gaming at 1440p?

I recently upgraded my system and I'm considering getting a 1440p monitor. I currently have an RTX 3080 with 10GB VRAM paired with a Ryzen 5 7600X3D. I'm curious if 10GB of VRAM will be enough for modern games at 1440p, or should I be looking to upgrade my GPU first? Or should I focus on getting the monitor instead? Another thought I had was selling my 3080 and getting a 9060XT for the extra VRAM. Any thoughts would be appreciated!

The 3080 is still a strong card and should handle 1440p gaming just fine for the next couple of years. If you're on a tight budget, it might not be necessary to upgrade just yet. I recommend testing it out for a year, and if you find you're not satisfied, you can always sell it for a decent price before upgrading. Happy gaming!

You should be good for about 95% of games. VRAM issues usually pop up only when playing at ultra settings in graphically intensive titles. Just keep an eye on those settings!

I've got the same 3080 for 1440p, and the only hiccup I've had was with Spiderman 2 where I needed to drop some settings to medium. This card still does well for most games, but I've started considering an upgrade.
