Hey everyone! I'm about to start my freshman year and will be studying abroad in the United States. As I'm getting ready, I'm wondering about what type of USB ports are commonly used there. Most of my devices use USB-C ports, but I'm not sure if that's what everyone else uses too. Should I get an adapter or something else? Any advice would be really helpful. Thanks!

Most smartphones these days have moved to USB-C. While it's great to have an adapter for USB-A, it's likely that you'll be mostly using USB-C. Just make sure whatever you bring will work with your devices!
Definitely pack a couple of power strips! They can be super handy for charging multiple devices, especially if you encounter limited outlets in dorms or lecture halls.
Don't stress too much; USB ports are generally universal. Just be sure to check what your devices require and plan accordingly!
A lot of phone chargers still use USB-A, but USB-C is really becoming the standard with many new devices. It's smart to have a mix just in case, especially since older devices might still be around. Just keep an eye out when you're shopping!
Thanks! That's good to know. I might need to connect my laptop to a computer in lecture rooms for presentations. Do you think those public computers have USB-C too, or would I need to stick with USB-A?
