Help With Drive Booster 12 and iTop Aftermath

Hey everyone! I could really use some guidance since my usual tech guy hasn't gotten back to me. I'm not super tech-savvy, so I apologize in advance if I sound confused! I have Drive Booster, and it told me to update to version 12. I took my time and opted out of any sales or extras it suggested. However, after the update, I noticed it installed some iTop VPN icons and this weird transparent square in the corner of my screen that I didn't want. I uninstalled the iTop stuff and ran Malwarebytes along with Avast, and they found nothing. Now, though, when I try to watch YouTube, I get a black screen, and my computer has always handled games and videos without a hitch before this. I checked for any VPNs or Tap Network Adapters but didn't see them. I also read about updating display drivers and even uninstalling/reinstalling them, but that makes me nervous. Any advice on how to check if my computer is safe or what might have gone wrong would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!

First off, I'd recommend uninstalling Drive Booster completely. It's known to cause issues and sometimes installs bloatware. After that, check your installed programs for anything that was added recently—it sounds like that iTop VPN could be the culprit. You can do this by going to Control Panel > Programs > Programs and Features. Also, check your browser for any new plugins by going into Chrome's settings under 'Extensions.' If you see anything weird or that you didn't install, remove it.

Thanks for the tips! Just to clarify, how exactly can I see what’s been installed recently? And where do I find the extensions in Chrome?
