I'm curious about using ReFS (Resilient File System) on Windows Pro for Workstations. I came across a reply that implies the focus is on rolling it out for Windows Enterprise, especially since recent updates seem to prioritize Enterprise versions. I'm not keen on moving to an Enterprise license. Does this mean Pro for Workstations won't receive all the updates and features as they come out?

ReFS has improved over time, but I've unfortunately lost quite a bit of data due to it just disappearing! I only really trust it for Hyper-V with HCI for virtual machines. For your workstation needs, I'd recommend using a dedicated RAID controller for better data protection, along with NTFS instead.
I'd be cautious about using ReFS for your OS drive right now—it's still a bit unstable from my experience. If you're considering it for development files, there's Dev Drive available that works with any Windows version and uses ReFS. Just remember, it’s best to avoid using it as your boot drive!
Just out of curiosity, what stability issues have you noticed with ReFS?
Got it, sounds like the Workstation edition should be fine for my needs. Thanks for the heads-up!
