Why is Fedora KDE Running Hotter Than Windows 10? Any Cooling Tips?

I've been using Fedora 42 with KDE Plasma on my desktop and noticed that it consistently runs about 5 to 7 °C hotter compared to when I have Windows 10 LTSC installed on the same hardware. My setup has Windows on an NVMe drive and Linux on an SSD. I'm looking for suggestions to lower the temperatures in Fedora. Are there specific tweaks, tools, or settings in KDE or Fedora to help reduce CPU/GPU usage and improve power management? My specs are:
- CPU/GPU: Ryzen 5600G
- 32 GB DDR4 RAM at 3200 MHz
- Air Cooler: Deepcool AG400

Yeah, I’ve noticed that too with AMD processors. Windows sometimes shows unrealistically low temps. I wouldn’t be surprised if that’s what's going on here.

I use HWiNFO on Windows for my temperature readings too, and it gives me solid, reliable data on my CPU temps.

Could you provide more details? Running `powerprofilesctl list` or checking `/sys/devices/system/cpu/cpu*/cpufreq/` could help us understand your CPU's power state better.

Sorry for the delay! Here’s what I got: [Temperature Data](https://i.ibb.co/yFbGbjk3/dd.png) - Looks like it's set to performance.

It might just be a difference in how temperatures are reported. Ryzen CPUs report both real and adjusted temperatures. Generally, you shouldn't worry too much unless you're seeing overheating issues — your CPU can handle higher temps without performance loss. Like, 70°C isn't a dealbreaker if it runs well at that temp!
