Is 37% Memory Usage on My Windows 11 PC Normal?

I recently noticed that my MSI Pulse GL66 laptop, which has 16GB of RAM, consistently shows at least 37% memory usage, even immediately after restarting. I've checked the task manager, and the total memory used by all my running applications doesn't even add up to 6GB. Is this typical behavior for Windows 11? If not, what steps should I take to address it? Just for context, my laptop has an RTX 3070 graphics card and an i7 11800H CPU.

Yes, this is actually quite normal! In fact, having a higher memory usage is generally expected because Windows caches files in memory to speed up access time. It frees up memory when applications need it, so don’t worry about it unless you’re experiencing slowdowns.

I get that, but I thought I used to see much lower memory usage, around 16-17%, a few months ago. I wonder if a Windows update changed something.
