Need help identifying possible malware on my PC

I'm about to do a factory reset on my PC and asked my mom if there was anything on it she wanted to save before we wipe everything. While browsing some PDF files together, we noticed this small popup that said 'Donation' with a message asking if we would consider donating, along with an 'Ok' and 'No' option. I remember seeing this message a few months ago when she downloaded some government apps to fill out forms. My mom insists she hasn't downloaded anything else and only visited government websites. I'm really cautious about my computer security, and I've never downloaded anything unless I'm absolutely sure it's safe. One thing to note is that the message is in Hungarian and all the documents are from the Hungarian government. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

What PDF reader are you using? It might just be a free version that’s prompting for donations. No need to worry unless you notice other signs of malware.

I’m not too tech-savvy, but I checked and it seems to open in something called 'Mtsc Office Writer'.

If it’s a Windows PC, try checking the default apps in your settings and see what’s set for PDFs. If it’s opening in LibreOffice Writer, it’s likely just asking for donations, not malware.
