My New GPU Isn’t Working—Any Fixes?

I recently upgraded my Dell XPS 8700 and bought a used Gigabyte Radeon RX 580 off eBay. It was supposed to be in good condition, but when I installed it, my screen showed nothing. I put my old graphics card back in, but I couldn't get the drivers to work. I'm looking for any advice on how to get this new GPU up and running. Thanks in advance!

Have you tried using DDU (Display Driver Uninstaller)? It helps to clean out old drivers that might be causing conflicts.

How do I run DDU?

Make sure your power supply unit (PSU) has an 8-pin connector for the GPU and that it's properly connected. If it's just a 4-pin, that could be a problem.

Yeah, I checked, and the PSU only has a 4-pin power connector, and I did connect it.

Don't forget to plug in the 8-pin power connector for the new GPU if it needs one. Also, what's the model of your old GPU? If it's not AMD, definitely use DDU to uninstall the old drivers before installing the new ones.

I'm not sure how to check the model, but I’d like to know how to use DDU.
