Best Used Nvidia GPU for 1080p Fortnite on a Budget

I built a PC with a Ryzen 9800X3D, costing around $900 but I ran out of funds for a GPU and can only spend $100 now. I mainly play Fortnite, which I know relies heavily on the CPU. I'm looking for a used Nvidia graphics card that won't bottleneck my setup at 1080p. Ideally, I'd love something easy to optimize since I prefer Nvidia. Any suggestions?

Honestly, with just $100, you're pretty limited. If you could stretch your budget a bit, I'd recommend saving for something like the RTX 3060. But the GTX 1660 could also work as a cheaper alternative if you're only focused on Fortnite.

A 1660 could work, but you'll want to consider it being less future-proof.

Yeah, definitely think long-term with the GPU purchase!

I would definitely recommend looking into a used RTX 2060. It’s pretty much the sweet spot for 1080p Fortnite gameplay. Just keep in mind that you'll need a better GPU in the long run to truly take advantage of your CPU's capabilities.

For real! You’ll kick yourself later if you don't.

Exactly! If you can hold out a bit longer and save, it’ll be worth it.

Going for a high-end CPU like the 9800X3D without a decent GPU is a risky move. A used RTX 2060 could be a solid option for your budget, but honestly, you might be better off returning the 9800X3D and aiming for a more balanced CPU-GPU setup. The RTX 2060 might give you better performance than you think, especially at 1080p, but it might be hard to find at your price point.

True, especially if you're serious about competitive play!

Yeah, I'd agree with you there. Just remember, the GPU is crucial for gaming! Worth saving up a bit longer if you can.

You might want to just save a bit more for a better card instead of settling for something that could bottleneck your system. Think about something around $300, or if you're keen, try looking for the RTX 3060 on sale.

Definitely better to wait and get something solid!

It's always worth saving a bit more for a better experience.
