Hey everyone, I'm diving back into my PC building journey after putting it on hold for a few years. I've already purchased a Fractal Design Meshify C case and an MSI B450 TOMAHAWK MAX II motherboard, but I'm looking for some critiques on the rest of my build. I'll primarily use this PC for gaming, focusing on older titles like Modern Warfare 2, Left 4 Dead 2, and RDR2. I'm not aiming for top-tier graphics, just decent performance—hitting 100 FPS would be awesome! My budget is around $1,000 for the remaining parts. I've already picked a Ryzen 7 5800X CPU, but I've been getting suggestions to upgrade my motherboard for better future-proofing. Any thoughts on this or alternatives? Thanks for your help!

If you're able to return your motherboard, I've put together a much faster build for you while sticking close to your budget. Consider getting the Ryzen 5 7600X, which is a more current option, along with the MSI PRO B650M-P motherboard. You'll enjoy a noticeable performance boost!
I can't return it, but I might just have to spend a bit more to get a new one.
