I'm looking to build a PC and want to ensure all my chosen parts will work well together. Here's what I have in mind:
- GPU: NVIDIA RTX 5070
- CPU: Ryzen 9 7950X
- RAM: Corsair 4x 64GB
- Cooler: Corsair 360mm AIO
- Motherboard: TUF Gaming ATX
- Storage: 4TB SSD
- Power Supply: 850W
- Case: Corsair 3000D mid tower
If anyone has suggestions for improvements or compatibility concerns, that'd be super helpful!

Are you picking the Ryzen 7950X for a specific reason? Are you going to be using it for heavy tasks like engineering software? That CPU is a beast for that kind of workload!
I'd steer clear of a Corsair AIO for the Ryzen 7950X, as it may struggle with thermal throttling under heavy use. The Arctic Liquid Freezer III Pro could be a better choice. Also, consider going for the 9950X; it's slightly faster and runs cooler for just a bit more cash. When buying your RAM, get a matched kit of four sticks instead of mixing two separate ones to avoid compatibility issues. Be careful with the Corsair 3000D case too; it only comes with two fans, and depending on the RTX 5070 model, make sure it fits, especially since the AIO will take up space inside. If you want a more compact case, a Lian Li A3-mATX could be a great alternative!
Make sure to check the motherboard model number for your TUF Gaming board. If it's a B650 or an X870 variant, you should be good to go! Just ensure it supports your CPU.
I believe it's the x870E, so that should be fine, right?
Exactly! I need it for electrical engineering software that loves a strong CPU.
