Hey everyone, I'm really in a bind here. My Surface laptop running Windows 11 suddenly started showing just blank white screens on both Edge and Chrome when I try to open them. I've rebooted several times and even uninstalled and reinstalled the browsers, but no luck. The only solution I found online is to disable hardware acceleration, but since I can't see anything on the screens, I can't access the Chrome settings to do that. I tried to boot into safe mode but couldn't get past the sign-in due to a common Windows 11 issue where my PIN isn't working, and I can't create a new one. I even attempted safe mode with networking but that didn't help either. So, to wrap it up: I can't access safe mode, I can't change Chrome settings, and I'm stuck on these all white screens. I really need my laptop while I'm traveling! Any advice is much appreciated! Thanks!

You might want to try editing the Chrome shortcut. Add '--disable-gpu' to the target line. Here's how:
1. Right-click the Chrome shortcut and select Properties.
2. In the Target box, make sure it looks like this: "C:Program FilesGoogleChromeApplicationchrome.exe" --disable-gpu. This might help you bypass the issue!
Before making any big changes, always ensure your data is backed up—just to be safe! You might also check community FAQs for more solutions since issues with Windows 11 can be tricky and there are often common fixes out there.
Have you tried using any other browser? If Edge is giving you a hard time, you could look for a portable version of Firefox or similar that you can run without installation, assuming you find a way to access any internet connection temporarily!
Thanks for the tip! I tried it, but now I'm facing a new problem: I can't redownload Chrome because I have no internet access at all, and it's not available in the app store. I tried changing the Edge shortcut, but I got an invalid target name error when I added '--disable-gpu'. Any ideas?
