Is 1TB SSD Enough for My Gaming and Work Needs?

I'm trying to figure out if a 1TB SSD would be sufficient for my usage. I mainly play one mod-heavy game (RimWorld) and another performance-oriented game (Monster Hunter: World), but I don't play a lot of high-demand AAA titles. Additionally, I use my PC for work and school-related tasks, running several programs, but nothing too intensive like Adobe software. Currently, I've used about 200GB out of 231GB on my existing drive after clearing out some files. What do most people who don't play many large games typically use for storage? Would 1TB be adequate, or should I consider larger options? Thanks for any advice!

Yes, a 1TB SSD should be enough for your needs! You might even consider pairing it with a cheap 1TB HDD for storing less critical files.

I've been in a similar situation recently and opted for a 2TB instead of just 1TB. Unless you’re on a really tight budget and are sure you won’t need the extra space, going for more is often a better choice to avoid storage issues down the line.

1TB might be okay now, but the jump to 2TB isn’t huge, and you could end up wishing you had more space later on. Just keep in mind it’s best not to fill an SSD completely, so consider how much you might grow in the future!

While 1TB can work, I suggest spending a bit more for a 2TB SSD. With prices not being too different, you could really future-proof yourself. I personally have 3.5TB of SSD space and find it quite useful!

I started with a 2TB SSD, but it filled up quickly since I have slow internet. Now, I've added two more 1TB SSDs. I'd recommend getting a 2TB to avoid running into storage issues with newer, larger games. Trust me, you'll appreciate the extra space later!
