Looking for Advice on 9950X Build with 192GB DDR5

I'm new to AMD after years of using Intel, and I've just built my first AMD PC with a 9950X. I typically run gaming servers for a community using Xeons with over 512GB of RAM. Now, I'm planning on setting up the 9950X with 192GB of RAM focused on single-core performance. I've read that AMD CPUs often struggle with XMP profiles when using four memory sticks, leading to speeds around 3600MHz instead of the potential 5200-6000MHz. I'm curious if anyone has successfully run an AM5 9000 series processor with 4x48GB RAM. What motherboard and RAM configurations did you use, and how tricky was it to achieve a stable setup? Should I go for a 4x48GB kit, or is it better to mix and match 2x kits of 2x48GB?

I haven’t used 4x48GB RAM, but I can share my thoughts! DDR5 typically has a hard time reaching its max speeds in a 4-stick setup due to stability challenges during configuration. While it’s possible to achieve good speeds, it may take some tweaking. I'd recommend going for the 4x48GB kit instead of mixing and matching. The days of easily mixing RAM are over if you want the best performance.

Honestly, why not just stick with the Xeons? They handle server tasks way better than the 9950X, which is primarily designed for desktop use. You won't get features like ECC RDIMMs or multi-channel memory with the 9950X, and it just doesn't have the server capabilities you might need. Also, keep in mind that the 9950X only supports two channels of memory, so it's easier to hit the advertised speed with two sticks rather than four.
