I'm currently using an AM4 setup with a Ryzen 5 2600, a Gigabyte B450M DS3H motherboard, a stock cooler, a GTX 1650, and 16GB of G.Skill Ripjaws RAM. I'm looking to play Final Fantasy XVI and other modern AAA games, and I plan to upgrade my monitor to 1440p soon. I'm considering purchasing a 5060 Ti before jumping into AM5 upgrades. What do you think?

It really depends on your budget! If you're looking for a decent upgrade, a Ryzen 7 5700X can give you a significant performance boost for about $140. It’ll work well with 1440p gaming for a good while. But if you’ve got around $1,000, I’d recommend going for an AM5 setup instead. And when you do buy the 5060 Ti, make sure to get the 16GB version—8GB just won’t cut it for 1440p gaming.
What's your budget looking like? I think a Ryzen 7 7600X paired with an AM5 motherboard is a better deal than grabbing a pricey 5700X3D, which goes for around $250+. If you can manage between $500 to $600, you could get a solid AM5 setup without breaking the bank.
If you get the 5060 Ti, your Ryzen 5 2600 might bottleneck it in some games, especially those that are CPU-heavy. The good news is that the bottleneck could be less noticeable at 1440p, but to really maximize your performance, you might want to upgrade to at least a Ryzen 5 5600. If you're seriously considering a full build, going AM5 with a newer CPU and DDR5 RAM would be ideal.
I'm aiming for about $500 to $600.
