Why is My RTX 5070 Ti Struggling to Max Out in Battlefield with a 5900X?

Hey everyone, I'm having a tough time figuring out why my MSI Ventus 3x RTX 5070 Ti isn't really pushing its limits while gaming, especially in the Battlefield 6 beta. My CPU is an AMD 5900X, and it seems like it's not the problem since it rarely climbs above 60-65% usage during gameplay. I've got both components showing around 60-70% load in performance metrics, but I expected way more FPS based on benchmarks I've seen. You can check out my performance in this video: [Performance Metrics](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ox9njqsCgdU).

I even found a video of someone with the same CPU getting much better performance with a 5080. Here's that link: [Better Performance Example](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FC8SzlxNezc&t=215s).

I've done extensive testing and troubleshooting, including adjusting frame rates, disabling fast boot, globally uninstalling and reinstalling drivers, and even updating to Windows 11. Both the Cinebench and Steel Nomad benchmarks show my components can hit their max loads, so I'm really confused.

For reference, I'm running at 1440p and my specs include:
- Motherboard: ASUS Prime 570x Pro
- Memory: 32GB DDR4 36200mhz
- SSD: Samsung 980 Pro 1TB
- PSU: Seasonic Focus V3 GX-850 watts

Any help or insights would be massively appreciated!

Have you checked if there’s a global VSync or frame rate cap set in the NVIDIA Control Panel? Sometimes those sneaky settings can throttle your performance. Also, keep an eye on how each core of the CPU is being utilized. Even though the 5900X is pretty capable, it might be underutilized in some games if they don’t spread the workload evenly across all cores. By the way, the 5070 Ti usually offers a noticeable improvement over the 3080 in many cases, so that might explain the difference in setups you’re seeing.

I did try turning off my frame limiter, and I noticed none of the cores are maxing out either. It’s weird because the video I found shows someone using a 5900X that seems to run a 5080 without any bottleneck. That really throws me off.

With a CPU like the 5900X, it's common to see usage around 60-70% in games, especially in those with a dual CCD architecture like yours. Some games, including Battlefield, just don’t fully utilize all those threads, even if you have them available. Are you certain that the game is optimized for higher core counts? I have a 5950X paired with a 3080, and I see similar CPU usage, but performance can fluctuate based on the game.

That raises an interesting point. I'm still puzzled about how others manage to push a 5080 under the same conditions. I know the X3D models are better for gaming, but I didn’t realize a 5900X could bottleneck a 5070 Ti this much.
