Why is my computer running so slowly all of a sudden?

I've had my PC for about seven years and never experienced any major issues until recently. I read online that strange computer activity might be due to malware, like crypto mining, which got me curious. After checking my Task Manager, I noticed my CPU usage was only between 1 to 3 percent, which seems odd. I'm not sure what steps to take next and could use some advice. Here are my PC specs: Windows 10, Ryzen 5 2600X, Radeon RX 590, and 16GB of RAM. If you need any more details, just let me know!

Honestly, considering your PC is seven years old, it's worth taking a look at your drive’s health. If the drive is starting to fail, that could really slow things down, and it might be time for an upgrade!

I checked that, but the drive seems to be fine.

If you're worried about malware, it might help to check out a malware removal guide. Just be sure to follow any steps carefully to ensure your system stays safe. Really, CPU usage can dip when you're not running heavy workloads, which can be normal, but keep an eye on it—consistently low usage can sometimes indicate a problem.
