Hey everyone! I'm hoping I can get some insights here. I built my PC back in 2019 and have made a few updates along the way, but I'm experiencing a frustrating issue where it just shuts down without warning, like someone flipped the power switch. There are no error messages showing up, but Chrome does prompt me to restore my tabs every time. I had a similar problem due to a Windows update a few months ago, but that seemed to resolve itself after a patch. Currently, everything else runs smoothly—no lag, slow boot-ups, or anything like that. I've been monitoring my CPU and GPU temperatures, and they don't go above 71 degrees Celsius. I haven't had many updates recently, and I'm skeptical that it could be my power supply since the rest of the system works flawlessly. Does anyone have any ideas on what might be causing this? Thanks!

This sounds a lot like a faulty power supply to me. Random shut-offs tend to point to an issue there, even if your PC seems to work fine otherwise. Have you noticed if it only happens under heavy load or just randomly? That could give more clues!

I've only been playing The Sims 4 when it happens, and it doesn't occur while browsing. I've heard PSU issues usually come with some signs like noise or boot issues, but this feels different. Could it relate to Windows 10's upcoming shutdown too?
