Hey everyone! I'm about to take the plunge and build my very first PC, and I'd love to get your feedback. I've done some research on what specs might be suitable for my needs. My primary use cases will be for daily work and studies, focusing on Computer Science and Data Science, combined with some gaming on the side. While I don't expect to dive into competitive multiplayer games, I'm interested in indie and strategy titles. I have a budget of around £1200, even though my current build is slightly above that. One of my goals is to play games at 1440p with at least 120 FPS. Does my build look good, or are there improvements I can make? Also, any tips on making sure everything runs smoothly would be greatly appreciated! Thanks in advance!

Your build looks solid! The Ryzen 7 9700X paired with the RX 9060 XT should handle productivity tasks and 1440p gaming quite well. Expect to hit around 120 FPS on indie and strategy games, but for AAA titles, you might need to tweak the settings to medium. Also, I recommend considering a higher-refresh rate monitor down the line to make the most of that 120+ FPS. Just keep an eye on airflow with the RX 9060 XT; it can run warm during extended gaming sessions.

Good point! I actually have a 4K 144Hz monitor already, so I'm set there. Do you have tips on ensuring good case airflow? Any cooler or fan recommendations for my build?
