I'm putting together my very first PC, and I'm aiming for a setup that can handle 1080p gaming while also being useful for productivity tasks. I'm a total newbie to this, but I've managed to come up with a parts list. I live in Poland, where prices and availability are a bit tricky since I want to buy all new components from retail stores. Here's what I'm considering:
- Intel Core i5-14400F CPU
- ENDORFY Fera 5 Dual Fan CPU cooler
- MSI PRO B760-P DDR4 II motherboard
- Kingston FURY Beast DDR4 (2x 16 GB) RAM
- Two Crucial P3 Plus 1TB PCIe M.2 2280 SSDs (one for the OS, one for storage)
- ASUS Dual GeForce RTX 4060 EVO OC Edition GPU
- be quiet! Power Zone 2 750W power supply
- MSI MAG FORGE 120A AIRFLOW case
I'm not overly concerned about perfect optimization; I just want to know if my build is decent, mid-range, or if I should make some changes. By the way, I'm planning to use a dual monitor setup. Thanks for any tips!

Honestly, I think it might be better to wait a bit, either for availability or until your budget can stretch a bit more. An AM5 setup would offer you some nice room for future upgrades since the i5 socket is becoming redundant. Plus, for just a little extra, you might snag a better GPU like the 5060, which would perform better and offer more VRAM as well!
Regarding storage, I noticed you're using the Crucial P3 Plus, which has QLC flash. This isn't the most durable option and can slow down significantly after a few years. I'd recommend switching to a drive with TLC flash instead, like the Kioxia Exceria Plus G3 or WD Blue SN580. These will provide better longevity and performance.
The Intel i5 is a solid choice for budget productivity, but just keep in mind that it's on an older socket. This means if you want to upgrade your CPU later, you'll have to replace the motherboard too. You might want to consider the Ryzen 7 7700 or 7700X for better long-term viability and performance, especially since you're not stuck with an outdated socket. Also, I'm curious about your choice of the RTX 4060—have you checked the prices on the newer 5060? It could be worth it!
