Is My PC Build List Any Good?

I'm looking to build my first PC and honestly, I'm not too sure which brands are reliable or if all the parts will work well together. I used PCPartPicker to put together a list of components, but I'm feeling uncertain about my GPU choice and whether it would be better to swap it for another option around the same price or even if I should look for a different case. My budget is under $1500, and I want to make sure it's somewhat future-proof. Here's what I've got:

- AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor
- Thermalright Phantom Spirit 120 SE ARGB 66.17 CFM CPU Cooler
- MSI B650 GAMING PLUS WIFI ATX AM5 Motherboard
- Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory
- Samsung 990 Pro 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive (considering dropping to 1TB since I don't play many large games at once)
- Sapphire PULSE Radeon RX 9060 XT 16 GB Video Card
- Lian Li Vector V100 ATX Mid Tower Case
- Corsair RM850e (2025) 850 W Fully Modular ATX Power Supply

What games are you planning to play? That might help narrow down whether you need to stick with this GPU or consider alternatives.

Mostly single-player games like RDR2, Detroit, and Persona 5. Just lost my old laptop, so upgrading to a proper setup feels essential!

Just curious, what country are you in? Might help with recommendations based on availability and pricing.

I'm in the U.S.! Thanks for asking.

Hey there! It looks like you’ve got a solid start but here are some thoughts:
1. Depending on the games you play, that CPU might be more powerful than necessary for the 9060 XT. A 9600X with a 9070 card could give you better performance and save you some cash.
2. That MSI motherboard? I’ve had some issues with the BIOS myself. You might want to check out AsRock alternatives, I hear they're pretty reliable.
3. For RAM, consider looking for a CL30 kit instead; it performs better without the RGB markup.
4. You might find a cheaper PSU, but if you’re aiming for future-proofing, the one you have is fine.

Thanks for the insights! Just to clarify, are you suggesting the Ryzen 5 9600X? Also, should I really stay away from AsRock for AMD CPUs?

For the RAM, got it—I'll check out CL30 options!

Yeah, Ryzen 5 9600X is what I meant. And AsRock has had mixed reviews, so I’d do some research to confirm if it might work for your setup!
