Best Way to Download and Manage Apps on KDE Fedora?

Hey everyone! I'm using KDE Fedora and am trying to figure out the best way to download and install applications. I recently tried to get the Zen browser from their website, but things got messy because I wasn't sure how to extract and manage the files properly. Even after deleting the downloads, I still see some leftover files in various directories. Can anyone advise on the right way to download apps and keep everything clean? Also, what about updating them?

You might want to check out Flathub for your apps. Follow their setup guide at flathub.org/setup. For the Zen browser, you can find it directly at flathub.org/apps/app.zen_browser.zen—super easy!

The simplest way to manage apps on Fedora is by using Flatpak or the DNF package manager. You can use Discover or the terminal to make things even easier. I’m a Zen user too; I downloaded it via Gnome Software as a Flatpak, and it worked great!

Think of Fedora like a smartphone with an app store—just use Discover for your applications. It's the KDE equivalent of an app store, making downloads and updates a breeze!

You could either download the copr build for a more seamless install or use the AppImage while creating a .desktop shortcut for easy access. It's not too hard once you get the hang of it!

If you're downloading from GitHub, I recommend grabbing the AppImage version, specifically the AppImage x86_64. It’s pretty straightforward—just mark it as executable in the properties and double-click to run it.
