Hey everyone! I'm excited to finally build my own PC and I'm aiming for a high-end setup with a decent budget. I've put together what I think is a solid list of parts, but I'm a bit unsure if I've overdone it or if I might have picked a couple of not-so-great components. I'd love some extra eyes on this! My biggest worry is about the motherboard, as I'm having a tough time determining what would work best. Here's my current build:
- AMD Ryzen 9 9950X3D 4.3 GHz 16-Core Processor
- ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 Liquid CPU Cooler
- ASRock B850 Pro-A ATX AM5 Motherboard
- Corsair Vengeance RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL36 Memory
- Samsung 990 EVO Plus 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 5.0 X2 NVME Solid State Drive
- Asus PRIME OC GeForce RTX 5080 16 GB Video Card
- Fractal Design Pop XL Air ATX Full Tower Case
- Corsair RM850e 850 W Fully Modular ATX Power Supply
Prices vary since I'm not in the US, but it comes to about $2,958. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated!

I see a few things you might want to tweak. First off, consider going for CL30 RAM instead of CL36 since it's slightly faster. Also, I wouldn't recommend ASRock motherboards right now; they've had some issues with frying CPUs lately. Lastly, are you sure you'll benefit from more than 8 CPU cores? For gaming, the Ryzen 9 9800X3D could actually perform better.

Good to know, thank you! Do you think the slightly faster RAM is worth the $30 difference? And thanks for the heads-up on the ASRock motherboards, that would be a pain! I’m mostly focused on gaming right now, but I want to future-proof my computer too.
