What’s the best upgrade path for my 5-year-old gaming PC?

I built my gaming PC about five years ago, and now I'm looking to gradually upgrade it to handle more demanding games since my current setup struggles to run them at medium or low settings. Here's what I have right now:
- Motherboard: Fatality B450 Gaming K4
- CPU: Ryzen 5 1600
- GPU: RTX 2060
- RAM: 16GB (2x8GB G.Skill Ripjaws)
- PSU: PowerSpec 550 Watt
- Fans: I've got three Corsair fans (not sure of the model).

A friend helped me put this together, but I'm not too knowledgeable about PCs, so I'd appreciate some guidance on the best order to make upgrades or rebuild.

Since you're running on an AM4 setup, you'll want to know that the latest tech is on the AM5 platform, which would require a new motherboard, CPU, and RAM if you went that route. Honestly, upgrading your GPU might lead to needing a new CPU eventually, which then leads to needing a new motherboard. It can feel like a domino effect! If you can hold off, a whole new build might be the way to go if you want more longevity.

I was worried about that too! I mostly play casual games like Skyrim and Oblivion Remastered, so I was hoping to avoid a full build.
