Hey everyone! I have a 500GB M.2 SSD currently installed, and I just bought a 2TB upgrade. I'm using an MSI B550 Pro VDH WiFi motherboard, and I'm wondering if I can simply install the 2TB SSD in the second M.2 slot. Alternatively, do I need to clone the 2TB drive, wipe the 500GB, and then move the 2TB SSD to the first slot, which I believe is faster and better for my OS and games? I'm looking for any tips on the installation process since I'm finding it tough to find a good tutorial that explains swapping out drives. Thanks in advance!

You can just put the 2TB drive in the second slot and Windows should detect it without any issues. I’ve got a similar setup with my motherboard, and I haven’t noticed any speed differences between the slots. Just remember to turn off your PC before swapping them around!
So I can keep the 500GB in the first slot and just add the 2TB for games? That’s awesome!
