I'm currently using a Ryzen 5 3600 and I've noticed it's running pretty hot at around 95°C while gaming, even after I replaced the thermal paste. I'm planning to upgrade to either the 5700X3D or 5800X3D in a few months, but I'm wondering if it might be a good idea to upgrade my cooler first. What do you all think?

Investing in a good cooler is a solid move, especially since you can use it for future builds. A budget-friendly option like the Thermalright Phantom Spirit could be a great choice — it’s inexpensive and offers excellent performance. Just keep in mind that availability can vary by location!
You might want to consider the Thermalright Assassin King 120, which is only about $20. It should work well with the 5700X3D. Just a heads up, the 5800X3D isn't significantly better and is currently hard to find at a reasonable price.
