I have a PS4 Pro that uses HDMI, and I want to connect it to my Dell monitor, which only has DisplayPort and VGA inputs. What do I need to do to make this work?

Really, there's not much else you can do besides buying an appropriate adapter or converter. Just remember that passive cables won't work for your needs here!

Exactly! And don’t forget to check the specs to avoid any surprises!

Connecting HDMI to DisplayPort can be tricky, but make sure to get an active converter specifically made for that. They're generally pricier than passive ones, so just keep that in mind. Also, is your monitor lacking an HDMI port? That's kind of unusual for a model with VGA and DP.

Which specific Dell monitor do you have? That might help narrow down the options for adapters.

You'll need to get an HDMI to DisplayPort adapter. Just be aware that it has to be an active converter since passive ones only work the other way around—DP to HDMI. You definitely want to make sure you’re buying the right type!

Yeah, that's important! Active adapters are the way to go for your setup.
