I have an Acer laptop that got BitLocker encrypted about two years ago, and unfortunately, I don't have the recovery code. To make things worse, the company that sold me the laptop has shut down. I'm trying to reset the entire laptop, but I'm also locked out because I don't remember the password for the laptop, and it's been around five years. Can anyone help me with steps to reset it completely? Any advice would be super appreciated!

It looks like you might have locked yourself out pretty tight! If you don't remember the Windows password, you could try doing a clean install from a USB drive. Make sure to delete all the partitions during the install; that should wipe out BitLocker. But if you're also locked out of the BIOS, you'll likely need a professional to help. Definitely check out the clean install guide [here](https://rtech.support/windows/). Good luck!
If your BIOS is locked too, that complicates things a lot. A clean install could resolve the Windows issue, but without the BIOS password, you might really be stuck there unless you want to visit a repair shop. It's frustrating, I know!
Yeah, I guess I’ll have to look into professional help since I can't even access BIOS.
