I'm in the process of putting together a budget office PC that won't be used for gaming. However, I'm trying to save up for a dedicated GPU in the future. My main concern is choosing an AM5 CPU that has decent integrated graphics, so I don't end up with a chip that underperforms in everyday tasks. The market is pretty confusing, so any guidance would be appreciated!

For your needs, you should check out the Ryzen 7000 and 9000 series, which feature basic integrated graphics perfect for non-gaming tasks. However, if you want something with stronger graphics, the Ryzen 8000 series APUs are the way to go, specifically the Ryzen 5 8600G. Just keep in mind these have 16MB of cache, which is a bit less than the regular CPUs, but they should still serve you well for an office build. Also, avoid the Ryzen 8000 series chips with an 'F' suffix; they have faulty integrated graphics.

Thanks for clarifying! I appreciate the details, as my goal is strictly an office PC that operates just fine without a GPU.
