Will a 1060 6GB with Ryzen 3 4100 or 5 5500 be good for gaming?

I'm considering building a PC and I'm torn between getting a Ryzen 3 4100 or a Ryzen 5 5500. I want to know if a setup with a 1060 6GB graphics card and 16GB of RAM is still decent for gaming. I'm mainly interested in playing esports titles, which I know it can handle, but I also want to try some newer games like Miles Morales and CarXStreet. How capable do you think this setup really is?

I’d recommend going for the Ryzen 5 5500 if you can. The 1060 can handle some games at 1080p around 60 fps, though not necessarily on ultra settings. It might struggle with newer AAA titles, but if you’re okay playing some games at 30 fps, it can still be a decent setup. However, if you find a used 2060 or 2060 Super, that would be a better option for future-proofing your gaming.

Honestly, I wouldn't recommend that setup anymore. My friend still uses a 1060 6GB, but he's hit situations with smaller game studios where it can't even meet minimum requirements. It’s starting to show its age.
