Why Does My PC Bluescreen on Boot After Being Off for a While?

I recently upgraded my PC with a new case, motherboard, CPU, and RAM. I kept my old GPU and PSU. Everything works fine, but I noticed that every time I leave my computer off overnight, it bluescreens when I try to start it up again. Once it's running, it can restart without any issues, but that first boot after being turned off for a longer time is problematic. I've encountered a few error codes like 'System thread exception not handled,' 'Memory management,' and have seen write errors in srttrail.txt. I've done clean installs of Windows 10 on three different drives, including one that was brand new, but this issue keeps happening. My RAM seems to be fine since I can run heavy applications without issues. Here are my specs: AMD RYZEN 7 5700G, 32GB 3200MHz RAM, RTX 3050, and a Gigabyte B550M K motherboard. Any suggestions on what I should look into?

Another thing to check is if your motherboard's BIOS is up to date. Sometimes a simple BIOS update can resolve random boot issues. You can find the latest version on the Gigabyte support page. Have you checked to see if you're on the most recent version?

I just checked, and my BIOS version matches the latest available on Gigabyte's site.

It sounds like you might need to check your dump files for more insight into the BSODs. If you can boot into Windows normally or through Safe Mode, head over to C:WindowsMinidump and see if you have any dump files there. If you do, zip them up and upload them to a file-sharing site like catbox.moe or mediafire. Having multiple dump files can really help in diagnosing the issue. If you don’t find any, consider configuring Windows to create a Small Memory Dump by following this guide: [Link to guide]. That might give you better data on what's going wrong.
